HARRY'S HAPPY PLACE |
This is my father who loved Marten River Ontario Canada. He had visit nearly every summer since 1964. Normally he would stay in Marten River Provincial Park, but his last few years were spent in the wonderful cabins of Land O' Lakes Lodge also in Marten River. His whole year was spent waiting for the two weeks he could be in the Near North. His visits were ALWAYS the last week of July and the first week of August. He just loved being there and after the trip was over he would talk of the adventure untill the next trip was taken. He has past on now and his last trip was July - August 2003. I know he is there to stay forever now and I do hope to see him there when I get up there to make a trip to this wonderful place. I spent many weeks with my father in Marten River and I do love it there and hope to make it back many times as he and I did. |
